About Ashton

Ashton is a New York City based horn player who's purpose in life as a musician is to bring creativity, openness, and integrity to every musical setting while continuing to maintain artistic curiosity and an appreciation for music of all kinds. 

Musical History

Ashton Sady is a French hornist currently pursuing a Master of Music in Orchestral Performance at the Manhattan School of Music, where he studies with Richard Deane. At MSM, Ashton performs regularly with the Manhattan School of Music Orchestra and in a wide range of chamber ensembles too. Ashton has earned a Bachelor of Music from the Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute, studying under Wei-Ping Chou, and performed extensively with the Peabody Symphony Orchestra, Peabody Opera, and chamber ensembles. Earlier training includes serving as a student in the Governor’s School for the Arts Orchestra in Norfolk, Virginia, as well as membership in the Bay Youth Symphony Orchestra.

The Beginning and Dreams

Ashton Grew up in Reno, NV and learned his love for the French Horn from his Father, Kevin Sady, Just before he turned ten going into the sixth grade. The Horn happened to be the first instrument that his father brought home, and ever since the very first note he managed to play, he has been in love with the music he has the opportunity to make every day. His primary dream in life is to one day be a member of a major orchestra to perform and discover the ranges of orchestral music. 

Family

Very recently, Ashton has gotten married and has been enjoying his life with his new wife Sophie Chan-Sady. Holding a very musical household, they both hold an undergraduate degree from The Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. Together they love to find great musical opportunity in New York City as they work towards the life of professional musicians.
